My Bridal Shower

Yep, I have the best friends and family a girl could ask for! My bridal shower was so beautiful, it’s days later and I am still smiling ear to ear.

Metro Pub & Grill – Express Room

When: Saturday March 4th, 2018

Where: Metro Pub & Grill – Express Room

How: Metro is right next to my store. So my NJB girls who were working that Saturday called to tell me they needed me at the shop. When I walked in, I had a store FULL of people; my friends and family. We walked over to Metro and had the BEST afternoon!

Bride Tip: I gave my maid of honor the outfit I wanted to wear. I knew they would be surprising me at some point, and of course I would be the one to show up in Converse and a Z Supply Tee. 😉 They had my dress ready for me, and I changed into it once we got over to Metro!

Details: It’s the little things, you guys! My “Mom & Maids” incorporated the sweetest little details. Everyone had the “Palmer Punch” which was an AMAZING Peach Sangria! Instead of shower favors, they made a donation to the Ronald McDonald house in my name and Matt’s name. (I LOVED this!)

In Lieu of Favors, Donation to Ronald McDonald House
My GORGEOUS Bridesmaids! So incredibly lucky to have friends/family like you! (Missing Katie and Bethany.)

Including the Groom: Jaclyn, my cousin and maid of honor, had Matt answer questions before the shower. Each question I answered wrong, I had to put a piece of gum in my mouth. I had a mouth full of gum! Haha. Here are a few of his questions and answers:

Q & A

Q to Matt: What does Niki love most about you?

His A: When I perform the household grandslam: Cook, Clean, and Do Laundry. (God I love this Man!)

Q to Matt: What is the theme of your wedding?

His A: Whatever Joanna Gaines likes.

Q to Matt: What’s your favorite thing to do together?

His A: Boat, beach, and recently watching “Peaky Blinders” together.

Q to Matt: Where would you go on vacation tomorrow if money and weather were no object?

His A: Me, Colorado. But Niki will say something weird like Europe. Haha!

Q to Matt: What do you love most about Niki?

His A: Her contagious positive outlook on life.  Que the Awwwwwww 😉

IMG_0785Registry: Matt and I purchased our first home last year in February. We are so lucky to have a house filled with everything we need. When my mom asked me to register for a shower I was truly stuck with what to do.

I was honored that they would be throwing me a shower but didn’t want my guests to feel like they needed to buy us things that we don’t need. We did do a registry at Target and actually found quite a few things we could use e.g. New Iron, Griddle, Wine Glasses (always), Bigger Toaster (our kids love waffles haha), and a few other things!

We also discovered We weren’t sure if we were going to have a honeymoon or not. Our schedules are so busy and with three kiddos it’s very hard to get away even for just one day. Honeyfund seemed like the perfect choice. It was very easy to set up, and our guests raved about how simple it was. We are so excited to use our honeyfund gifts to book our perfect getaway after the wedding. (More on all of that later!)

Gifts: I received some of the most thoughtful gifts, bringing me to tears of course! Reading through everyone’s cards sent tears of happiness down my face. The Palmer Bunch is so lucky to be surrounded by so many people who love and support us.

I made it through most of the day without sobbing like a baby until my mom gave me her gift. She made the most beautiful dream catchers out of doilies that my Great Grandmother Vera had made. Each dreamcatcher had a special message attached. To incorporate all generations (My Great Grandmother, Grandmother, Mom, Ellie, and me), she had pieces from my baby bonnet and from her wedding gown on the dreamcatchers.

Everything was perfect, and I am so grateful to have the Mom & Maids that I have! You guys rocked everything, and I can’t thank you enough. What a perfect day it was… next up, Bachelorette Party! 😉
